In the process of building a manufacturing powerful country and quality powerful country, enter-prise managers play an important role.Studying the relationship between myopia and manufacturing pro-duction technology can contribute to the healthy development of national economy.Taking 2013-2020 list-ed enterprises in Shanghai and Shenzhen A-share manufacturing industry as the research sample, the man-agers' myopia indicators are constructed based on text analysis and machine learning technology to empiri-cally test the impact of managers' myopia behavior on the production technology level of manufacturing enterprises.The research results indicate that manager's myopia behavior has a significant promoting effect on the improvement of production technology level in enterprises.Mechanistic analysis shows that this pro-motion is mainly achieved by expanding the import of intermediate goods. Through further analysis, the myopia behavior of managers suppresses the input and output of enterprise innovation.
