Research on the Impact of the Digital Economy on the Upgrading of Industrial Structure——Empirical Analysis Based on Provincial Panel Data
With the rise of a new round of technological and industrial revolutions,new technologies,in-dustries,business models,and patterns are emerging one after another. Traditional industries are being deeply reshaped,emerging industries are thriving,and new dynamic forces are rapidly rising.Exploring the impact of the digital economy on the upgrading of industrial structure based on provincial panel data from 2011 to 2020.Measure the digital economy using principal component analysis and analyze with in-novation input as an intermediary mechanism.The research findings indicate that the digital economy has a positive impact on the upgrading of industrial structure,and the increase in innovation input is the key mechanism through which the digital economy promotes the upgrading of industrial structure.Further anal-ysis reveals that the driving effect of the digital economy on the upgrading of industrial structure exhibits characteristics of regional heterogeneity.Specifically,the digital economy has had a positive impact on both the eastern and western regions,but compared to the eastern region,the western region has shown a"late-mover advantage".
