To meet the needs of talents in the big data era and improve the quality of talents training for professional masters of applied statistics,a questionnaire survey was conducted to analyze the status quo of training.The survey results show that there is no significant gender difference among students in terms of educational system selection,curriculum system and classroom teaching satisfaction,but that is significant in talent training program,curriculum provision and employment guidance.And there are problems such as teacher-based teaching,insufficient practical training,and lack of personalization in employment guidance.On this basis,the improvement suggestions of the training for the professional masters of applied statistics were put forward.
