In the context of the development of vocational education,vocational colleges can use school history to carry out practical teaching of ideological and political courses on campus,which can cultivate students'comprehensive qualities.The article analyzes the significance of using school history to carry out practical teaching of ideological and political courses in vocational colleges,explores the shortcomings of practical teaching of ideological and political courses in vocational colleges,and points out that arranging vocational college students to conduct cultural investigations of school history,encouraging vocational college students to collect and share stories of school history and culture,guiding vocational college students to conduct research on school history literature,organizing vocational college students to participate in school history and cultural creation competitions,and regularly conducting special lectures and seminars on school history are the main strategies for vocational colleges to use school history to carry out practical teaching of ideological and political courses,which can improve the quality and efficiency of implementing the main theme of ideological and political courses in vocational colleges in the new era.
