Summary of professor Wang Youpeng's clinical experience in treating urticaria in children in cold regions
Professor Wang Youpeng has unique views on the diagnosis and treatment of urticaria in children in cold regions based on his understanding of the characteristics of cold regions and the physiological and pathological characteristics of children, and his clinical practice. From three aspects of pathogenic qi,zang-fu viscera, and constitution,Professor Wang Youpeng summarizes that the etiology and pathogenesis of the disease are dominated by wind pathogen, with cold, heat, and dampness pathogen coexisting as the main causes;Deficiency of the lungs, spleen, and kidneys, and hyperactivity of heart-liver fire are the root causes;Simultaneously they are influenced by innate endowment and physical fitness of the affected children.According to the characteristics of urticaria in children in cold regions,it can be divided into syndrome of superficies attacked by wind pathogen, pattern of dampness-heat amassing in skin, and lung-spleen qi deficiency pattern. The treatment is based on harmonizing zang-fu viscera, eliminating pathogenic qi as the standard, and using the combination of formulas to treat according to symptoms. At the same time it can achieve good curative effect by taking into account the body care and maintenance, and preventing the disease before it occurs.
