Clinical study on the treatmtnt of non-motor symptoms of Parkinson's disease with yang deficiency causing wind by Nuan Shui Zao Tu formula
Objective To explore the efficacy and safety of the Nuan Shui Zao Tu formula in the treatment of non-motor symptoms of Parkinson's disease,in order to provide authentic data reference for the application of appropriate treatment plans for patients with non-motor symptoms of Parkinson's disease. Methods 60 subjects were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group. The scores of Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale Ⅲ(UPDRS Ⅲ),Hoehn-Yahr(H-Y)staging,Non Motor Symptom Screening Scale(NMSS),and Parkinson's Disease Quality of Life Questionnaire-39(PDQ-39)were observed in both groups. Results UPDRS Ⅲ scores decreased significantly in both groups after treatment(P<0.01).After treatment,NMSS and PDQ-39 scores decreased significantly in the treatment group(P<0.01),and there was no statistically significant difference in NMSS and PDQ-39 scores before and after treatment in the control group(P>0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in H-Y and UPDRS Ⅲ scores between two groups(P>0.05).The symptom scores of NMSS in the treatment group, including sleep fatigue, gastrointestinal function, and urinary system scores, were significantly decreased(P<0.05).The effective rates of the NMSS and PDQ-39 in the treatment group were 63.3%and 53.5%,respectively.And therapeutic effect in the treatment group was higher than that of the the control group.Conclution The treatment group can effectively improve the non-motor symptoms of Parkinson's disease, enhance the quality of life of the patients, and improve sleep quality, gastrointestinal function and urinary condition of the patients. The treatment group and the control group can improve the degree of the patients with Parkinson's disease, and there is no significant advantage in improving motor symptoms in the treatment group.
