Clinical study on the treatment of refractory schizophrenia with modified Ditan decoction combined with electroacupuncture
Objective To explore the effect of modified Ditan decoction combined with electroacupuncture in the treatment of refractory schizophrenia and the changes of cognitive function and serological indexes. Methods 150 patients with refractory schizophrenia admitted to the Department of Psychiatry of Hengshui Seventh People's Hospital from July 2019 to July 2021 were selected and divided into the control group(75 cases)and the experiment group(75 cases)according to random number table method. The control group was treated with clozapine tablets, and the experiment group was treated with modified Ditan decoction combined with electroacupuncture on the basis of the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for 8 weeks. The curative effect after 8 weeks of treatment, traditional Chinese medicine symptom scores, mental symptoms, cognitive function, levels of lipid metabolism indexes and serological indexes before and after treatment, and the safety during treatment of two groups were compared. Results Compared with the total effective rate of the control group after 8 weeks of treatment(78.67%),the total effective rate of the experiment group was higher(93.33%,P<0.05).After 8 weeks of treatment, the scores of dullness of mind, chest tightness and costalgia, restlessness and dysphoria, anxiety and suspicion, positive and negative symptoms scale(PANSS)and brief psychiatric scale(BPRS),and the levels of serum total cholesterol(TC)and low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)in two groups were lower than those before treatment, and the experiment group was lower than the control group(P<0.05);Compared with berore treatment, the scores of Wechsler adult memory scale(WMS-RC),and the levels of serum high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C),brain-derived neurotrophic factor(BDNF),5-hydroxytryptamine(5-HT),thyroid stimulating hormone(TSH)and melatonin(MT)in two groups increased, and the experiment group was higher than the control group(P<0.05).Compared with the total incidence of adverse reactions during treatment in the control group(16.00%),the total incidence of adverse reactions in the experiment group was lower(5.33%,P<0.05).Conclusion Modified Ditan decoction combined with electroacupuncture can significantly regulate lipid metabolism and serological indicator levels in patients with refractory schizophrenia, improve traditional Chinese medicine symptoms, mental symptoms and cognitive function of patients, and then improve clinical efficacy. This therapy has good safety.
