Research in the dominant role of renal function in regulating bone metabolism based on the theory of kidney dominating bone
Based on the theory of"kidney dominating bone",this paper expounds the dominant role of renal function in regulating bone metabolism. The dominant role of renal function in regulating bone metabolism is systematically expounded from different perspectives of traditional Chinese and Western medicine:In the physiological state, parathyroid hormone(PTH),fibroblast growth factor 23(FGF23)and 1,25 dihydroxyvitamin D are involved in the regulation of mineral metabolic balance, and kidney plays an important role in the process of bone mineral balance; In pathological conditions, renal insufficiency can also lead to the occurrence of chronic kidney disease-mineral and bone disorders(CKD-MBD)or renal osteodystrophy(ROD),causing disorders of bone mineral salt metabolism. The deep connotation of the theory of"kidney dominating bone"should be further enriched.
