Through the investigation of ancient books and the sorting of the modern research achievements of traditional Chinese medicine,combined with the understanding and application experience of well-known experts and scholars in desciplinary fields such as traditional Chinese medicine clinical medicine and science of Chinese materia medica,it is concluded that cherokee rose fruit mainly has the effects of controlling nocturnal emission and reducing urination,arresting leucorrhea and metrorrhagia,and relieving diarrhea with astringents.The symptom targets are nocturnal emission and night emission,enuresis and frequent micturition,and diarrhea.The biochemical indicator target is proteinuria.Modern pharmacological studies have found that cherokee rose fruit and its active ingredients have the effects of improving kidney function,inhibiting bacteria,anti-inflammatory,antioxidant,and protecting the liver.This product is non-toxic,but patients with internal heat or excessive pathogen should use it with caution.The commonly used dosage in clinical practice is 6-45g.When taken orally,it should be used dialectically according to different diseases or different stages of the same disease,and the construction of dose-effect relationship between the dosage of cherokee rose fruit and the symptom target and biochemical indicator target should be explored actively.
