Observation on the effect of Xingnaokaiqiao acupuncture combined with Chaihu-jia-Longgu-Muli-Decoction in the treatment of post-stroke epilepsy
Objective To explore the effect of Xingnaokaiqiao acupuncture combined with Chaihu-jia-Longgu-Muli-Decoction on post-stroke epilepsy. Methods A total of 168 patients with post-stroke epilepsy admitted to Linfen People's Hospital from February 2021 to February 2022 were selected as the research subjects, and they were divided into the observation group and the control group according to random number table method, with 84 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Chaihu-jia-Longgu-Muli-Decoction,while the observation group was treated with Xingnaokaiqiao acupuncture combined with Chaihu-jia-Longgu-Muli-Decoction.The traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome scores, seizure condition, cognitive function, serological indexes levels, therapeutic effect and occurrence of adverse reactions were compared between two groups. Results After treatment, the TCM symptom score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).The frequency and duration of seizure in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Montreal Cognitive Assessment(MoCA)score and total effective rate of the observation group were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).The levels of monocyte chemotactic protein-1(MCP-1),asymmetric dimethylarginine(ADMA)and neuron specifie enolase(NSE)in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05);There was no statistically significant difference in the occurrence of adverse reactions between two groups(x2=0.525,P=0.469).Conclusion Xingnaokaiqiao acupuncture combined with Chaihu-jia-Longgu-Muli-Decoction can effectively improve the TCM symptoms and epileptic seizure, improve cognitive function and therapeutic effect, and reduce the serological indexes levels of patients, which is worth promoting.
