Clinical study on the treatment of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy with ancient acupuncture method
Objective To study the therapeutic effect of ancient acupuncture on cervical spondylotic radiculopathy.Methods 96 patients with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy admitted to Sanya Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from March 2020 to June 2022 were divided into the electroacupuncture group and the ancient acupuncture group.The elcetroacupuncture group received elcetroacupuncture treatment at Jiaji acupoint.And the ancient acupuncture group received ancient acupuncture treatment.Both groups were treated for 4 weeks.The clinical efficacy of two groups was statistically analyzed.Serological indexes levels,vertebrobasilar artery hemodynamics,cervical motion and the function of cervical vertebrae were compared between two groups before treatment and after 4 weeks of treatment.Results After 4 weeks of treatment,the total effective rate of the ancient acupuncture group was higher than that of the electroacupuncture group(P＜0.05).After 4 weeks of treatment,compared with before treatment,levels of serum SP,TGF-β1 and NF-κ,and vertebrobasilar artery resistance index(RI)in two groups decreased,and the ancient acupuncture group was lower than the electroacupuncture group(P＜0.05).The serum β-EP level,vertebrobasilar artery Vm,Vs,and cervical spine flexion,extension,right flexion,left flexion range,and scores of cervical spine function increased in both groups,and the ancient acupuncture group was higher than the electroacupuncture group(P＜0.05).Conclusion Compared with the treatment of electroacupuncture at Jiaji point,ancient acupuncture method can effectively improve the levels of serological indexes of patients with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy,reduce the body's inflammatory response,relieve pain,improve vertebrobasilar artery hemodynamics and cervical motion,promote cervical function recovery,and have a better therapeutic effect.
