Analysis of insulin resistance based on the theory of restraining the damage caused by excessive nutrient qi and defensive qi to acquire harmony
Insulin resistance is the common pathogenic basis of a variety of metabolic diseases, which can cause sugar, lipids, proteins and other substances to accumulate in the body, which is caused by phlegm-damp,blood stasis and turbidity poison in traditional Chinese medicine. After the development of the theory of restraining excessiveness to acquire harmony in the Yellow Emperor's Neijing, the theory of"restraining the damage caused by excessive nutrient qi and defensive qi to acquire harmony"has been included in the analysis of the course of the disease, and its development stage can be summarized into three stages, namely excessive defensive qi forming phlegm and dampness, nutrient qi flourishing forming blood stasis, and both defensive qi and nutrient qi forming excessive turbidity poison to injure the viscera and meridians. The treatment should be based on the phased treatment method of expelling phlegm and lowering blood lipids, restraining excessiveness of defensive qi,and dispelling stasis and removing obstruction in collaterals, restraining excessiveness of nutrient qi,and resolving turbidity and detoxication, calming zang fu viscera,in order to harmonize yingfen and weifen.
