Insomnia is one of the common accompanying symptoms of cancer patients,which seriously affects the physical and mental health of cancer patients.Professor Gong Yabin believes that the primary pathogenesis of cancer-related insomnia with the main symptoms of nocturnal sleepiness and easy awakening,and dreaminess is liver depression and qi stagnation,disharmony between heart and kidney,and yin and yang disharmony.In clinical practice,Professor Gong attaches great importance to the relationship between the heart,liver and kidney,and the patients are often advised to take Jiawei Cizhu pill decoction on the basis of traditional Chinese medicine of original selected prescription to restore normal coordination between heart and kidney,and disperse stagnated liver qi,and suppress hyperactive yang for tranquillization.Professor Gong advocates that according to the clinical symptoms,doctors should make reasonable drug compatibility,and add or subtract drugs based on syndrome differentiation in order to achieve satisfactory clinical efficacy.
