Observation on the clinical efficacy of Cuyu Xunxi Recipe combined with moxibustion in the treatment of postoperative grade Ⅲ hemorrhoids
Objective To explore the effect of Cuyu Xunxi Recipe combined with moxibustion on postoperative pain,bleeding,edema,length of hospital stay,and wound healing time in patients with grade Ⅲ hemorrhoids.Methods A total of 213 postoperative patients with grade Ⅲ hemorrhoids who received surgical treatment were selected and divided into Cuyu Xunxi Recipe and moxibustion group,Cuyu Xunxi Recipe group and hemorrhoid washing solution group,with 71 cases in each goup.Cuyu Xunxi Recipe and moxibustion group received Cuyu Xunxi Recipe sitz bath combined with automatic moxibustion instrument.Cuyu Xunxi Recipe group recieved sitz bath treatment with Cuyu Xunxi Recipe.Hemorrhoid wshing solution group received sitz bath treatment with hemorrhoid washing solution.Pain,bleeding,the improvement of edema symptoms,length of hospital stay,and the defference in wound healing time among patients in each group were observed.Results On the 1st,3rd,7th,and 21st day after surgery,the pain scores in Cuyu Xunxi Recipe and moxibustion group were significantly better than those in Cuyu Xunxi Recipe group and hemorrhoid washing solution group(P＜0.05).On days 3,7,and 21,the bleeding scores in Cuyu Xunxi Recipe and moxibustion group were significantly lower than those in hemorrhoid washing solution group(P＜0.05).On the 7th and 21st day after surgery,the edema scores in Cuyu Xunxi Recipe and moxibustion group and Cuyu Xunxi Recipe group were lower than those in hemorrhoid washing solution group(P＜0.05).Cuyu Xunxi Recipe and moxibustion group and Cuyu Xunxi Recipe group had significant advantages in improving edema one week after surgery.The wound healing time in Cuyu Xunxi Recipe and moxibustion group and Cuyu Xunxi Recipe group was shorter than that in hemorrhoid washing solution group(P＜0.05).The hospitalization days in Cuyu Xunxi Recipe and moxibustion group were significantly reduced compared with hemorrhoid washing solution group(P＜0.05).Conclusion Cuyu Xunxi Recipe combined with moxibustion can effectively relieve the symptoms of postoperative pain,bleeding and edema of grade Ⅲ hemorrhoids,shorten the wound healing time,and improve the clinical efficacy and the quality of life of the patients.
