Study on the therapeutic effect of modified Bazheng Powder in the treatment of chronic prostatitis with syndrome of stagnant dampness-heat
Objective To explore the clinical effect of modified Bazheng Powder in the treatment of chronic prostatitis with syndrome of stagnant dampness-heat.Methods Clinical data of 80 patients with chronic prostatitis with syndrome of stagnant dampness-heat received symptomatic treatment based on UPOINT phenotype classification system were selected as the control group,and clinical data of 81 patients with chronic prostatitis with syndrome of stagnant dampness-heat received symptomatic treatment combined with modified Bazheng Powder based on UPOINT phenotype classification system during the same period were selected as the observation group.All patients were treated for 6 weeks.The urination,psychological status,score of the National Institutes of Health chronic prostatitis symptom index(NIH-CPSI),organ-specific symptoms,skeletal muscle pain and infection symptoms between two groups before treatment and after 6 weeks of treatment were compared.Results Compared with before treatment,after 6 weeks of treatment,the scores of Self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)and Self-rating Depression Scale(SDS),and pain or discomfort,urination symptoms,and scores of quality of life in two groups decreased,and the observation group was lower than the control group(P<0.05).The maximum urine flow rate(MFR)and average urine flow rate(AFR)in two groups increased,and the observation group was higher than the control group(P<0.05).The proportion of patients with local tenderness,abdominal spasm,and pelvic spasm in two groups decreased,and the observation group was lower than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Modified Bazheng Powder can effectively improve the UPOINT phenotype of patients with chronic prostatitis with syndrome of stagnant dampness-heat,and promote the progression of the disease.This therapy has the good therapeutic effect.
