Thyroid nodules are common endocrine system diseases,mostly benign nodules.Western medicine lacks effective treatment measures for thyroid nodules,and some patients with serious illness can be treated by surgery,but there are many related complications.Traditional Chinese medicine believes that the occurrence of thyroid nodules is closely related to the emotional disorder of patients,and emotional fluency is closely related to the smooth activity of liver qi.Depressed mood of patients can lead to stagnation of liver qi,which can cause biochemical dysfunction of spleen and stomach if it persists for a long time.Stagnation of liver qi and spleen deficiency can lead to abnormal transportion and delivery of water and liquid,and phlegm-qi stagnation and binding in the front of the neck may cause"thyroid disease".Therefore,treating thyroid nodules based on the basic principles of dispersing liver and regulating qi,invigorating spleen for diuresis,dissipating phlegm and eliminating blood stasis can achieve good therapeutic effects.
