Therapeutic effect of Ziyin Jieyu Tiaogeng Formula in the treatment of perimenopausal insomnia with liver depression and yin deficiency syndrome
Objective To explore the clinical effect of Ziyin Jieyu Tiaogeng Formula combined with Eszolam tablets in the treatment of perimenopausal insomnia with liver depression and yin deficiency syndrome. Methods 106 patients with perimenopausal insomnia with liver depression and yin deficiency syndrome who were treated in Cangzhou Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine from January 2021 to January 2023 were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to random number table method,with 53 cases in each group. The control group received routine Western medicine treatment such as Eszolam,while the observation group was treated with the combination of Ziyin Jieyu Tiaogeng Formula on the basis of the treatment of the control group for 4 weeks. The improvement of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores,PSQI scores,ISI scores,and modified Kupperman scale scores between two groups was observed and compared. The total effective rate and recurrence rate between two groups were compared. Results After treatment,the scores of insomnia,excessive dreaming,heavy sensation of head,head with binding sensation,chest tightness,palpitations,phlegm accumulation,and full bloating in epigastric region in both groups decreased (P＜0.05),and the observation group was lower than the control group(P＜0.05). After treatment,the modified Kupperman scale scores of both groups decreased (P＜0.05),and the observation group was lower than the control group (P＜0.05). After treatment,the QOL-BREF scores of both groups increased (P＜0.05),and the observation group was higher than the control group (P＜0.05). After treatment,both PSQI and ISI scores decreased in both groups (P＜0.05),and the observation group was lower than the control group (P＜0.05). The total effective rate of the observation group (94.3％,50/53) was higher than that of the control group (81.1％,43/53) (P＜0.05). The recurrence rate of the observation group (9.4％) was lower than that of the control group (24.5％) (P＜0.05). Conclusion The combination of Ziyin Jieyu Tiaogeng Formula and Eszolam tablets can improve the symptoms of perimenopausal insomnia with liver depression and yin deficiency syndrome,improve the quality of life,and have significant therapeutic effects,with a lower long-term recurrence rate.
