Wulingsan is a commonly used classical prescription derived from"Treatise on Cold Pathogenic and Miscellaneous Diseases".This article summarizes Professor Zhou Junhuai's analysis of the articles,indications,and symptoms of Wulingsan,as well as records of clinical experience.Through observation,the core pathogenesis of Wulingsan is disturbance in functioning of bladder,and water-gas retention.The key to the pathogenesis is the internal accumulation of water evil,which stays in the lower jiao.The core symptoms are dysuria and thirst.Professor Zhou Junhuai has achieved satisfactory therapeutic effects through long-term clinical practice and flexible use of the modified formula for the treatment of internal medicine miscellaneous diseases.
