Research progress in the etiology and pathogenesis of chronic pelvic inflammatory disease in traditional Chinese medicine and treatment based on syndrome differentiation
Abstrac:Chronic pelvic inflammatory disease is an inflammatory disease that occurs in the connective tissue,pelvic peritoneum,and other areas of female patients.It has the characteristics of long course,obvious symptoms,severe pain,and difficult treatment.Traditional Chinese medicine believes that this disease belongs to the categories of"women's abdominal pain","lump in the abdomen",and"morbid vaginal discharge".During the process of onset,it is affected by various factors such as cold,dampness,heat,deficiency,and stasis.The specific pathogenesis is divided into accumulation of dampness heat,blood stasis and stagnant qi,stagnation and congelation of cold-damp,and blood stasis due to qi deficiency.Targeted traditional Chinese medicine treatment should be given based on the corresponding syndrome types.This article provides the comprehensive analysis of current research on chronic pelvic inflammatory disease from two aspects,namely traditional Chinese medicine pathogenesis,and treatment based on syndrome differentiation.
