Observation in the therapeutic effect of Fire Dragon cupping on dystonia in cerebral Wilson's disease
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of Fire Dragon cupping in patients with dystonia in cerebral Wilson's disease. Methods 60 patients with dystonia in cerebral Wilson's disease were enrolled and randomly divided into the control group and the Fire Dragon cupping group, with 30 cases in each group. The control group received routine treatment(reducing copper intake and increasing copper excretion),and the Fire Dragon cupping group received combined treatment with Fire Dragon cupping on the basis of the treatment of the control group. The total course of treatment was 3 weeks. The clinical efficacy, and the scores of Modified Ashworth Scale,Burke-Fahn-Marsden Dystonia Rating Scale(BFMDRS),Unified Wilson's Disease Rating Scale(UWDRS),Activity of Daily Living(ADL)and Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)Syndrome Score Scale before and after treatment in two groups were observed. Results The clinical efficacy in the Fire Dragon cupping group was 93.33%,and that in the control group was 73.33%,and the total effective rate in the Fire Dragon cupping group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the scores of Modified Ashworth Scale,BFMDRS,UWDRS,ADL and the TCM Syndrome Score Scale in both groups were better than those before treatment(P<0.05 or P<0.01).After treatment, the scores of the above scales in the Fire Dragon cupping group were better than those in the control group(P<0.01).Conclusion Fire Dragon cupping therapy can effectively improve the clinical symptoms of patients with dystonia in cerebral Wilson's disease, and has good safety.
