Current status and research progress in targeted drug therapy for pediatric tuberculosis
Childhood tuberculosis is the major global public health issue,especially in its multidrug resisitance forms.Compared with adult tuberculosis,children are more susceptible to Mycobacterium tuberculosis due to the unique characteristics of their immune systems,which makes them more prone to developing active disease.This article analyzes and studies the clinical characteristics,current treatment approaches,and the state of development and challenges of targeted drug treatments for children with tuberculosis.In this paper,the importance of targeted drug treatment in the management of childhood tuberculosis is emphasized,which can not only improve treatment effect,but also reduce side effects and drug resistance.At the same time,this article discusses the challenges facing current treatment strategies,such as optimization of drug dosages and assessment of long-term impacts,and proposes future research directions,including the development of personalized treatment and precision medicine.
