Analysis of the similarities and differences of herbal properties between epimedium herb and prepared common monkshood branched root from the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine xiang thinking
Xiang thinking is a characteristic way of thinking in the process of understanding drugs,understanding diseases,analyzing pathogenesis and prescription drug-used in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),etc.Epimedium herb and prepared common monkshood branched root are warming yang drugs commonly used in TCM clinical practice.Based on the TCM xiang thinking,the herbal properties and effects of raw and roasted epimedium herb and prepared common monkshood branched root are compared and analyzed from the perspectives of their growing environment,medicinal positions and drug forms.The results show that the raw epimedium herb is pungent taste and cold nature,and that roasted epimedium herb is pungent taste,sweet and warm.They can open up the path of Aioi Jinshui diagnosis and treatment based on an overall by ventilating lung qi,thereby invigorating the kidney and enhancing semen quality.In addition,in terms of"generating primordial qi with physical fire",roasted epimedium herb has the ability to replace prepared common monkshood branched root.
