Mi Jinduo's experience in treating senile non-alcoholic steatohepatitis from the perspective of deficiency, phlegm and stasis
Non-alcoholic steatohepatitis(NASH)is a common and frequently occurring clinical disease, which has attracted more and more attention because of its possible fibrosis, progression to cirrhosis and even liver cancer.Professor Mi Jinduo,a famous traditional Chinese medicine doctor in Jilin Province, believes that the etiology and pathogenesis of senile NASH are spleen deficiency and phlegm coagulation, stagnant blockade of hepatic collaterals; The key to the pathogenesis is impaired transportation due to spleen deficiency, intermingled phlegm and stasis in the liver, and disharmony of hepatic collaterals, leading to liver disease. In clinical practice,a combination of food, medication,or other pathways treatment method(Tongbu recipe of traditional Chinese medicine)is used, and the prescriptions are supplemented with drugs that promote blood circulation for removing blood stasis, dispelling pathogenic wind and eliminating phlegm on the basis of xiaoyao san for invigorating the spleen and dispersing the stagnated liver-energy,in order to achieve the clinical therapeutic effect of invigorating the spleen and dispersing the stagnated liver-energy,and eliminating phlegm and dredging collaterals. This paper explores the pathogenesis and traditional Chinese medicine treatment of NASH from the perspective of"deficiency, phlegm and stasis",providing new ideas for the prevention and treatment of NASH.
