Clinical efficacy of manipulation combined with chitosan in the treatment of periarthritis of shoulder
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of manipulation combined with medical chitosan in the treatment of frozen shoulder periarthritis. Methods 102 patients with periarthritis of shoulder were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group. The control group was treated with acupuncture and moxibustion and massage, and the observation group was treated with manipulation combined with medical chitosan. Before treatment, and after 1 day,1 week,1 month,3 months, and 6 months of treatment,Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)score,Constant-Murley Score(CMS),shoulder joint range of motion, total effective rate, and further consultation rate were recorded in two groups. Results After 1 day,1 week,1 month,3 months, and 6 months of treatment, both groups showed varying degrees of improvement in VAS scores,CMS scores, and shoulder joint range of motion, and the observation group was significantly better than the control group(P<0.05);The total effective rate of the observation group(98%,49/50)was higher than that of the control group(78%,39/50),and the further consultation rate of the observation group was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Under the guidance of the theory of tendons domination and bones subordination, the combination of manipulation and medical chitosan can significantly reduce the pain of patients with frozen shoulder periarthritis, improve shoulder joint dysfunction, increase shoulder joint mobility, and reduce further consultation rate. This therapy has significant advantages in improving the dysfunction of patients with periarthritis of shoulder.
