Research progress in the treatment of cancer with β-elemene
At present,the onset of malignant tumors is not easily detected,and malignant tumors progress rapidly,which affects people's quality of life.In recent years,some natural products with anti-tumor effects extracted from materia medica have been the focus of attention by researchers at home and abroad.Elemene,as a natural product,has anti-tumor activity and is extracted and isolated from Chinese herb Curcuma wenyujin in Zingiberaceae.This article summarizes a large number of documents and finds that β-elemene plays an anti-tumor role in inducing apoptosis of tumor cells,inhibiting invasion and metastasis,immune regulation,reversing drug resistance in cancer and other aspects.At the same time,the delivery system helps to enhance the bioavailability of β-elemene in the treatment of tumors.
