Role of pyroptosis in colorectal cancer and its research progress in traditional Chinese medicine treatment
Colorectal cancer(CRC)is a malignant tumor with high morbidity and high mortality,and its pathogenesis is complex.Modern treatment methods are not very effective,therefore,finding low-toxicity and high-efficiency prevention and treatment plans is still the focus and difficulty of CRC research.Chinese medicine plays an important role in the clinical prevention and treatment of CRC,with various advantages,including low toxicity,multi-targets,multiple pathways and so on.In recent years,with the in-depth study of molecular mechanisms and pharmacological effects,most scholars have found that the onset of CRC involves abnormalities in multiple signaling pathways.Among them,pyroptosis is a mode of programmed cell death that the body regulates,which can regulate a variety of cell signaling cascade reaction and can be involved in the regulatory process of CRC.In addition,in the field of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),with the continuous development of molecular biology technology,the research on TCM and pyroptosis that can affect CRC has gradually emerged.Through literature screening and related reports,it is found that some Chinese herbal medicine compound prescriptions and Chinese medicine monomers can play an anti-tumor role in CRC through targeted intervention of pyroptosis.Therefore,this paper provides a brief summary of this,in order to provide theoretical,diagnostic,and therapeutic references in the field of Chinese medicine for the prevention and treatment of CRC.
