Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)believes that the heart and spleen organs are interconnected through the five elements and meridians. Both organs can independently affect the onset of chronic spontaneous urticaria(CSU).The key pathogenesis of CSU influenced by the heart is malnutrition of heart spirit and exuberance of heart fire, while the spleen's influence lies in the abnormal transportation and transformation of spleen and stomach, and worry impairing spleen; The heart and spleen organs mutually affect the onset of CSU through qi and blood, and meridians.Modern medicine believes that the pathogenesis of CSU related to brain-gut primarily focuses on psychological stress and gut microbiota-related mechanisms, with brain-gut peptides as the pivot to affect the onset of CSU.In modern medicine, the pathogenesis of CSU related to brain-gut and the theory of heart-spleen correlation in TCM are mutually confirmed and echoed.
