Diabetic kidney disease belongs to the category of"kidney consumption","lower consumption"and"edema"in traditional Chinese medicine,which has become the main cause of end-stage renal disease.Professor Zhang Shoulin believes that"yang deficiency,toxin stasis and kidney collaterals"are the basic pathogenesis of diabetic kidney disease(phaseⅣ-Ⅴ),the damage of yang qi is the root of the disease,and toxin stasis and kidney collaterals are the key link.And Professor Zhang has established the treatment principle of"warming yang,detoxication and removing obstruction in collaterals",which effectively delays the progression of renal function and the process of dialysis.
