Effect of sling exercise training on muscle tone and motor function in children with spastic cerebral palsy
Objective To analyze effect of sling exercise training on muscle tone and motor function in children with spastic cerebral palsy. Methods 60 children with spastic cerebral palsy admitted to the Second Clinical Medical College of Xuzhou Medical University from January 2021 to January 2023 were selected as the research subjects and divided into the observation group and the control group according to different treatment methods, with 30 cases in each group. The control group received routine rehabilitation training, and the observation group received sling exercise training on the basis of the treatment of the control group. Both groups were intervened for 3 months. Before and after treatment, muscle tone was evaluated by the modified Ashworth Spasm Scale, and the motor function of the children with this disease was compared by Gross Motor Function Measure-88(GMFM-88)and Fine Motor Function Measure(FMFM);At the same time, the Activities of Daily Living(ADL)scale was used to evaluate self-care ability of these children. Results After treatment, compared with the control group, spasticity degree of the observation group decreased, the scores of GMFM and FMFM increased, range of joint motion increased, and activities of daily living were significantly improved, and there was statistically significant difference in the above aspects(P<0.05).Conclusion Sling exercise training can alleviate spasticity and improve motor ability in children with spastic cerebral palsy.
