Clinical efficacy of Chushi Yangfa decoction combined with Shenbai lotion in the treatment of seborrheic alopecia
Objective To explore clinical efficacy of Chushi Yangfa decoction combined with Shenbai lotion in the treatment of seborrheic alopecia.Methods 62 patients with seborrheic alopecia were selected and randomly divided into the control group and the study group,with 31 cases in each group.The control group was treated with oral finasteride tablets combined with external minoxidil tincture,while the study group was treated with oral finasteride tablets and Chushi Yangfa decoction combined with Shenbai lotion.The clinical efficacy of two groups was observed.Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndromes scores,serum levels of sex hormones[testosterone(T),estradiol(E2)]before and after treatment,and the occurrence of adverse reactions were compared between two groups.Results The total clinical effective rate of the study group(96.77％,30/31)was higher than that of the control group(80.65％,25/31)(P＜0.05).After treatment,the scores of the main and secondary symptoms of traditional Chinese medicine,and the serum T level decreased in both groups(P＜0.05),and the study group was lower than the control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the E2 level in both groups increased(P＜0.05),and the study group was higher than the control group(P＜0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between two groups during treatment(P＞0.05).Conclusion Chushi Yangfa decoction combined with Shenbai lotion has the significant effect in the treatment of seborrheic alopecia.This therapy can effectively relieve clinical symptoms,and regulate levels of serum sex hormones.This therapy has good safety,which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
