Preparation and Properties of Nanocellulose-based Superabsorbent Antibacterial and Antioxidant Biphasic Gels
The aerogel-hydrogel biphasic gels with high water absorption, antibacterial and antioxidant properties were prepared by using nanocellulose fibers as the hydrogel skeleton. The structure and properties of the aerogel-hydrogel biphasic gels were characterized by scanning electron microscopy,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometer. The analysis results showed that the aerogel phase had excel-lent water absorption properties and the water absorption rate reached 1342.2%within 5 hours. After the aerogel phase absorbed water to form the hydrogel phase, tannic acid was released, the inhibition effect on Staphylococ-cus aureus reached 98.72%and that on Escherichia coli reached 83.62%,demonstrating excellent antibacterial properties. The removal efficiency of free radical was 91.89%,which could effectively inhibit the generation of reactive oxygen species and reduce the occurrence of inflammation, showing application potential in wound care.
