Digitalization of Education Promotes Educational Equity:Internal Logic,Practical Obstacles and Breakthrough Path
Based on exploring the connotation,characteristics,and value of educational digitization and educational equity,this paper analyzes why educational digitization can effectively achieve educational equity and the obstacles and breakthrough paths currently encountered.Research has found that digitalization of education fully utilizes digital technol-ogy and resources to achieve data monitoring,resource sharing,and precise identification throughout the entire education process,achieving the goals of"controlling dropouts and ensuring learning","teaching without discrimination",and"teach-ing according to individual needs",and helping education achieve comprehensive fairness including fairness in starting points,processes,and outcomes.At present,there are obstacles in the digitalization process of education in China,such as the incomplete formation of educational digitalization concepts leading to a lag in the overall social education concept,the incomplete popularization of digital infrastructure construction in the western region resulting in a digital divide between the eastern and western areas,and the relatively lagging cultivation of digital literacy among teachers and students leading to unsatisfactory effects of digital education,which restrict the effective promotion of equity through educational digitaliza-tion.To overcome these obstacles,it is necessary to update the concept of digital education and strengthen publicity and popularization,shifting from the traditional idea of student performance as the main focus to the cultivation of personalized development and innovative abilities of students,and increasing the application and integration of digital technology;Strengthen the infrastructure construction in the western region,narrow the regional differences in digital education re-sources between the east and the west,and promote resource equity among domestic regions;To cultivate professionals in digital education,provide teaching staff with digital literacy and digital technology support for educational digitization,and promote the realization of educational equity.
