Artificial intelligence has brought new opportunities for the innovation of the concepts,methods,and content of current ideological and political education. However,the transition between old and new paradigms in ideological and political education is a gradual process,and not all effects of artificial intelligence technology on ideological and political education are beneficial. Clarifying the real risks and challenges associated with the "sharpening" effect brought by artificial intelligence to ideological and political education is an essential prerequisite for resolving contradictions between artificial intelligence and ideological and political education and for promoting their transformation. Exploring practical strategies for "softening" risks and challenges is crucial for promoting the bidirectional empowerment of artificial intelligence and ideological and political education. This requires actively seeking points of logical integration between artificial intelligence and ideological and political education,collectively contributing to the innovative integration of technological tools and value-oriented education.
