Study on the evaluation of dangerous rocks and rock collapse susceptibility in Karst areas:A case study of Pinggui District,Hezhou City,Guangxi
In this paper,an analytic hierarchy process(AHP)was used to evaluate the susceptibility of geological disasters of dangerous rocks and rock collapse in karst areas, where detailed survey results of geological disasters in Pinggui District,Hezhou City were taken as an example. In our analysis,we considered the geological disaster development density, landform type, slope, vegetation index, stratigraphic lithology, rock mass type, cover thickness and degree of Karst development, geological structures, number of years of average rainfall, resident density, road network density, mining strength, the type and amount of dangerous rocks in the Karst region, geological hazards such as rock collapse, and geological and environmental factors. An evaluation index system that measured vulnerability to geological hazards of dangerous rock and rock collapse in Karst areas was then established based on these factors. The evaluation system was then applied to the study area, which was evaluated and studied through the spatial analysis function of GIS.The evaluation results had guiding significance for the prevention and control of geological hazards in Karst areas.
