Improvement and Application of Cementing Technology for Shallow Extended Reach Wells in Bohai Oilfield
Kenli 16-1 Oilfield is located in the southern part of Bohai Sea, with complicated geolog-ical condition, it belongs to the typical"edge, small, broken and deep"oilfield. Due to the large well deviation, poor casing centering, and poor formation pressure bearing capacity, there are many problems in the cementing process, such as insufficient casing, high leakage risk, and low replace-ment efficiency. These problems seriously restrict the implementation of development plan in this ar-ea . In order to solve the above cementing problems, this paper proposes a systematic and mature ce-menting technology for shallow extended reach wells by improving casing technology, optimizing ce-ment slurry system, and combining on-site cementing technology optimization research. The technol-ogy has achieved remarkable results in field practice, solving the difficulty in running the casing pipe, low replacement efficiency, and high risk of leakage. This research has important guiding sig-nificance for extended reach wells in similar situations.
