This paper studies the following urgent issues: factors influencing the integration of ideo-logical and political education into professional courses, differences in the factors, and importance of the factors. Based on theoretical analysis, a questionnaire is designed to investigate teachers in pro-fessional courses in 54 ordinary undergraduate universities in Sichuan Province. An empirical study is carried out by using SPSS software. After eliminating the interference of demographic variables such as gender and age, the conclusion shows that the following factors have significant positive effects on TOE, which include students situation analysis, curriculum and textbook research, teach-ing implementation and management, evaluation and assessment, rethinking and deep development. With the introduction of control variables, the positive significance of these factors has increased. The suggestions include clarifying the logic of teaching and learning, changing students' behavior, making intensive study of courses and textbooks, fully exploring ideological and political elements. The implementation of ideological and political education in curriculum should be flexible, so they can complement each other. There is no evaluation in ideological and political education in curricu-lum, and course evaluation should be reformed appropriately to change the current situation. Final-ly, Further thought should be made to seek new development in integrating ideological and political education into professional courses.
