ISM-based Hazard Analysis of Mixed Light Hydrocarbon Shipments
"Mixed light hydrocarbons"is an extract of alkanes from associated gas in oil and gas fields and imported LNG,and the market supply is gradually increasing in recent years.Due to the difference in components of these hydrocarbon mixtures from traditional LPG,there is a lack of cor-responding production standards and storage and transportation facilities in China, which brings in-convenience to production and trade. In view of the hazards of mixed light hydrocarbons in the han-dling and transportation processes, the topology of logical relationships between derived safety man-agement measures is presented by using the Interpretable Structural Model(ISM).Here are the re-sults:first,if the existing LPG tankers are used to transport mixed light hydrocarbons, the process reliability must be fully calculated, the accident risk of these products must be evaluated in advance and reasonable packaging methods must be selected, and the daily maintenance of equipment must be done;second, the importance of other factors varies accordingly;third, investment of special safety funds is the first basic guarantee in daily work of safety management, the second is the scien-tific nature of the production regulations and safety management procedures, and how to balance the relationship between production efficiency and safety.
