Soil Nutrient and Microbial Characteristics Associated Alfalfa Cultivated Grassland
Alfalfa grasslands of different growth years were selected as test objects. Soil microbial carbon (MBC)and nitrogen(MBN), soil nutrient and soil microbial quantity were measured in 2008. There were differences in soil microbial characteristic and soil nutrients of alfalfa grassland among different planting years. All tested indices in fourth-year alfalfa grassland were the highest when compared with other year grasslands. MBC and MBN contents of the soil surface were higher than that under soil (10~20 cm). Soil nutrients displayed a phenomenon of “surface accumulations”. The microbial numbers of soil surface were higher than that in 10~20 cm soil layer. Azotobacter was a dominant species of soil microbes among fungi.Soil organism content influenced MBC and MBN. There were significant positive correlations between MBC and available potassium, MBN and available phosphorus, respectively.
