Absorption and Transfer of Photosynthetic Carbon in Alfalfa(Zhongmu No.1)
Alfalfa 'Zhongmu No. 1' was planted under controlled condition and marked by 13C pulse labeling at branching stage. Alfalfa leaf, stem and root as well as soil samples were collected on 6-, 12-, 18-, 24- and 30-days after labeling to investigate the absorption and transfer of photosynthetic carbon in alfalfa. Results showed that the distribution of photosynthetic products in alfalfa organs was ordered as stem> leaves>roots. The transfer speed of 13C in alfalfa organs was ordered as leaves > stem>roots. The contents of 13C in alfalfa organs decreased gradually with the marked time, and finally stabilized. The content of 13C leaking into soil in the 0-10 cm soil layer was higher than that in 10~20 cm, and the content of 13C in 10 - 20 cm soil layer was more stable.
