The Influences of Different Nitrogen Rates on Degraded Alpine Meadow in the Upstream of Datong River
In order to improve the pasture yield of alpine meadow and effectively recover the light-degraded grassland, the influences of different nitrogen rates on alpine meadow grassland community, aboveground biomass and soil nutrients were studied using random block design with urea as fertilizer. The results showed that with the increase of N addition, both species richness and the diversity decreased, and the vegetation coverage, height, aboveground biomass and grass yield increased significantly(P<0.05).In certain range of increasing nitrogen application, total nitrogen, phosphorus, available nitrogen, and organic matter were gradually increased, available phosphorus increased at first and then decreased gradually after reaching the peak value, and the pH showed a decreasing tendency. These findings suggested that adding nitrogen could improve soil quality, and 150 kg · hm-2 is the best option for economic benefits.
