Adaptability Evaluation of 10 Pea Germplasm Resources in Semi-arid and Alpine Regions of Qinghai Province
Ten pea germplasm resources were selected to screen out superior Pisum sativum germplasms with high adaptivity for cultivating in semi-arid(Tongren)and alpine(Zeku)regions of Qinghai province through systematically evaluating their 13 agronomic traits and yield of these cultivating P.sativum germ-plasms.These results showed that:1)Phenotypic variation change of 10 P.sativum germplasms ranged from 3%to 24%in Tongren and 7%to 23%in Zeku. Both the number of pods(24%)and seeds per pod(23%)demonstrated the highest coefficient of variation.2)10 P.sativum germplasms had different agro-nomic traits between Tongren and Zeku.It is noted that'A-61'germplasm achieved the highest hay and seed yield in Zeku, while Tongren 49 and'Zhongyuan 5'germplasm harvested the maximum forage and seed yield,respectively.3)Results of grey correlation analysis indicated that 84 and'A-61'germplasm demonstrated the optimum comprehensive traits in cultivating Tongren and Zeku, respectively. Therefore,'Zhongyuan No.5'can be the candidate P.sativum germplasm to forage production while 49 germplasms to seed production in Tongren.By contrast,'A-61'was recommended as one of the superior P.sativum germplasm simultaneously achieved higher forage and seed production in Zeku.
