Effects of Sowing Rate on Quality of Festuca arundinacea Soilless Sod
In order to investigate the suitable sowing rate of Festuca arundinacea soilless sod,the effects of five sowing rates(10 g·m-2,20 g·m-2,30 g·m-2,40 g·m-2,50 g·m-2)on the quality of Festuca arundinacea soilless sod were analyzed by pot experiment. The results showed that the apparent quality and biomass of Fes-tuca arundinacea soilless sod were significantly affected by increasing sowing amount, while the height and color of sod significantly decreased(P<0.05),and the density, texture, coverage and biomass of sod signifi-cantly increased(P<0.05).The uniformity of sod showed an increasing trend, but there was no significant dif-ference among different treatments. When the sowing amount was greater than 30 g·m-2,the differences in color, density, coverage, uniformity and biomass of sod were not significant.According to the comprehensive analysis of membership function, sod comprehensive quality increased with the increase of sowing amount.Sod comprehensive quality was the highest when seeding amount was 50 g·m-2,followed by 30 g·m-2.On the basis of cost saving and high quality sod,30 g·m-2 was the best planting amount for Festuca arundinacea soil-less sod in North China.
