Objective:To investigate the current status of self-management efficacy in patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH)after transurethral vaporization of prostate(TUVP)and analyze its influencing factors. Methods:Ninety BPH patients undergoing TUVP in our hospital from June 2021 to October 2023 were selected to evaluate their self-management efficacy according to the Chronic Disease Self-Management Efficacy Scale. The investigator created a general information questionnaire for patients.Multiple linear regression analysis was conducted to investigate the influencing factors of self-management efficacy in BPH patients after TUVP.Results:The score of self-management efficacy in 90 patients after TUVP was(4.92±1.07)points.The average monthly household income, primary caregivers, disease perception, and degree of illness were the influencing factors of self-management efficacy in BPH patients after TUVP(P<0.05).Conclusion:The self-management efficacy of BPH patients after TUVP is at a moderate level.BPH patients with an average monthly household income of less than 5000 yuan, primary caregivers of their children or others, poor disease perception, and moderate to severe illness have lower self-management efficacy after TUVP.
