Establishment and practice of full-time post for cardiopulmonary rehabilitation nurse in intensive care unit
Objective:To explore the feasibility, working mode and clinical effect of the full-time post for cardiopulmonary rehabilitation nurse in intensive care unit(ICU).Methods:A full-time post for cardiopulmonary rehabilitation nurse was set up in ICU of our hospital in December 2021.50 patients admitted from December 2020 to November 2021 were selected as the control group, and 50 patients admitted from December 2021 to October 2022 were selected as the experimental group. The pulmonary function indexes,APACHE Ⅱ score, cardiac function indexes, mechanical ventilation time,ICU hospitalization time and ICU hospitalization expenses were compared between the two groups. Results:The pulmonary function indexes(clinical pulmonary infection score, oxygenation index,PO2,PCO2)of the experimental group were significantly better than those of the control group(P<0.05).The APACHE Ⅱ score of the experimental group was significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).The indexes of cardiac function(LVDD,LVSD,LVEF)in the experimental group were significantly better than those in the control group(P<0.05).The duration of mechanical ventilation and ICU hospitalization time in the experimental group were shorter than those in the control group, and the cost of ICU hospitalization was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The establishment of full-time post for cardiopulmonary rehabilitation nurse can not only significantly improve the cardiopulmonary function of critically ill patients and reduce their economic burden, but also promote the professional development of ICU nurses and further enhance their scientific research ability.
