Based on the description and record of the characteristics of the hook pulse in the Huang Emperor's Inner Canon·Suwen,as well as the understanding and interpretation of the characteristics of the hook pulse in relevant traditional Chinese medicine pulse theory,combined with the unearthed texture and shape of the hook,this article tends to refer to the pipa shaped copper belt hook that was mainly popular in the Han Dynasty when compared to the pulse characteristics of the pulse hook in the Tianhui Medical Bamboo slip and Maishu Shangjing.
