Epstein-Barr virus(EB virus)can evade host immune attack and establish long-term latent,owing to the dual effect of its protein and gene regulation.Febrile disease caused by latent pathogens is a special type of febrile disease caused by reactivation of the pathogenic factors latent in the body on account of certain factors.The pathogenesis is similar to the mechanism of immune escape and onset characteristics of EB virus.Based on the analysis of the theory,pathogenesis,characteristics and treatment principles of febrile disease caused by latent pathogens,this article discusses the relationship with the immune escape mechanism of EB virus,in order to provide new way for the prevention and treatment of EB virus by traditional Chinese medicine.
