Chronic fatigue syndrome(CFS)has gradually become a clinical common disease with the accelerated social rhythm,in-creased work and study burdens,labor intensity and mental stress.Professor Wang Mingjie has rich experience in the treatment of CFS,especially for those whose conventional treatment is ineffective.Prof.Wang Mingjie proposed that the"abnormal closure of Xuanfu,Shen is difficult to be produced and applied"is the critical pathogenesis of chronic fatigue syndrome based on the Xuanfu theory.Then,Prof.Wang Mingjie advocated that it is necessary to use Wind medicine such as Mahuang,Chaihu,Qianghuo,Gegen,Fangfeng,Chuanxiong and insect medicine such as Quanxie and Chantui combining the use of formulas with strengthening Qi and Blood on the ba-sis of the treatment based on syndrome differentiation,which can open the'Xuanfu'and make the production and circulation of'Shen',with remarkable clinical results for treating CFS.In this article,the treatment characteristics and medication rules of Prof.Wang Mingjie in treating CFS are summarized as much as possible,and two clinical cases are reviewed,hoping to enrich the treatment insights of CFS in the clinical practice.
