Allergic rhinitis is one of the common allergic diseases that can seriously affect the patient's work and life.Modern clinics have confirmed that moxibustion can produce therapeutic effects by activating a series of signalling pathways and neuroendocrine im-mune activities.One case of allergic rhinitis was observed in outpatient clinic,and according to its characteristics,it belonged to the type of congested rhinitis with deficiency of Lung Qi and Cold in Chinese medicine,and the patient's rhinitis was relieved rapidly after being treated with heavy moxibustion in suboccipital triangular area.In this paper,we try to analyse the influencing factors of the effect of heavy moxibustion in this case from the understanding of allergic rhinitis in Chinese medicine,the relationship between suboccipital triangle and allergic rhinitis,the principle of suboccipital triangle susceptible to Evil and the therapeutic mechanism of moxibustion to eliminate the'allergy',etc.,so as to provide a new diagnostic and therapeutic idea for the clinical treatment.
