Expression and Application of Additively Weighted Distance Field of Urban Spatial Pattern Under Metro Travel Mode
The spatial analysis tools used in traditional urban spatial pattern analysis include Euclidean distance analysis ap-plicable to Euclidean space and network analysis applicable to road network space. The urban spatial pattern is discontinu-ous due to mode of transportation, but the classical spatial analysis tools are not applicable to this kind of space. First, the concepts of additively weighted distance and additively weighted distance field are put forward and used to express the discontinuous spatial pattern formed by urban rail transit. Then, taking Wuhan and Hefei as examples, the grade-A ter-tiary hospitals are selected as the target source points to gener-ate the additively weighted distance field and allocation field of the corresponding urban study area, and verify the accuracy of the travel time under the rail transit mode. Based on the gener-ated results, the urban travel circle and the average travel time are calculated and analyzed. The potential applications of addi-tive weight distance field in urban spatial analysis, planning and addressing under metro travel mode are discussed as well.
