Multi-dimensional Analysis of the Coordination Between Intensive Land Use and Economic Development in Development Zones of Hubei Province
The development zone is the main battlefield and front of the regional economic development. The research on the coordination between intensive land use and economic de-velopment can help people to straighten out the balance rela-tionship between them, discover the law of difference, and im-prove the management ability of the development zone. By re-ferring to the index system of Evaluation Procedures for Inten-sive Land Use in Development Zones,we use multi-factor comprehensive evaluation method to measure the level of in-tensive land use and economic development in 103 develop-ment zones in Hubei Province, and explore their coordination characteristics in multiple dimensions with the coordination de-gree model. The results show that:First, half of the develop-ment zones in Hubei Province are in a low level of uncoordi-nated state, and the intensive land use and economic develop-ment level of the eastern development zones are higher than that of the western development zones. Second, different types of development zones have different degrees of coordina-tion between intensive land use and economic development. The state-level,10—15 km²,technology-intensive,industry-city integrated development zones, and development zones in Wuhan "1+8" city circle have high coordination degree. Third,at the present stage,10—15 km² is the appropriate size of the development zone. It is necessary to promote the transformation of the development zone to industry-city inte-grated development zone, the upgrading of traditional indus-tries to high technology and high value-added industries, and give full play to the leading and radiating role of Wuhan "1+8" city circle. The above research findings have reference sig-nificance for the overall layout, key promotion and industrial transformation of the development zones.
